This week (VII) Euroregion: Euroace (did you know?)

The EUROACE has an Observatory seen as a useful tool for the dissemination and exchange of experiences of cooperation and transboundary research in the context of the Euroregion Alentejo-Central Extremadura.

It containes a database in which both contacts of people developing some activity in the field of cross-border cooperation (researchers, technicians administrations, policy makers in cooperation …) and performances data (collected joint or cross-border investigations, development projects, outreach and dissemination – conferences, congresses, seminars … -), all aimed at greater exchange and mutual understanding between all agents currently working to some degree in the field of border cooperation within the EUROACE.

It aim is to

  1. Detect, identify, locate, record and describe all or most of existing research and human and material resources in the Euroregion in relation to cross-border issues.
  2. Promote the exchange of knowledge, experiences and results of cooperation and research between administrations, working groups or research as well as between public institutions, NGOs and private companies involved.
  3. Promote the development of new lines of cooperative work and to promote the consolidation of research groups that develop this research in the field of cross-border cooperation.
  4. Disseminate the results of the various investigations and transboundary resources to different specialized forums (universities, research institutes, etc.), public managers and society in general.
